and_Mary's recently advised me (us) this website. It's the conference of English teachers from different countries all round the world. Lots of professors, scientists, journalists and of course freshmen (beginners as with me) talk about language, problems of learning and teaching, methodology and so on. You have to be a real bore if you try to watch all of them, or at least you're a very purposeful person (and I'm not, yeh). However, some of videos are really useful.

Should we teach grammar? How should we teach it? What sort of grammar? Teachers are constantly worrying over questions like this. The answers depend to a large extent on what we mean by ‘grammar’. We will look at this from both a theoretical and a practical point of view and try to tease out some answers.http://iatefl.britishcouncil.org/2010/sessions/2010-04-09/what-do-we-mean-grammar-dave-willis
